Murder Mystery Event

The Friends of the Linden Library announced the second annual murder mystery event will take place on Friday, November 18th at the Linden Free Public Library. The event takes place after library hours, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.

“Once again our volunteers have outdone themselves with a spectacular night planned,” said Dawn Beviano, President of the Friends of the Linden Library. This year’s theme is “Crime and PUNishment”, a roaring 20s style night of entertainment. Things take a turn for the gutter at Mafia Don Lou Zar’s juice joint when someone is put on ice! The crowd is chockful of potential suspects. Jealous, jilted lovers, a rival Mafioso, and a pair of undercover feds make an appearance at this speakeasy and not a single person is muttering a word! Help find out who’s on the level and who’s on the lam by trading clues with your guests, gathering information, and solving the crime before the murderer hotfoots it out of there!
Dress for this night of murderous mayhem includes flapper dresses, zoot suits, feather boas and headbands, pinstriped suits and fedoras. Best costume prizes will be awarded.

Included in the $45.00 ticket is dinner, drinks and a really good time! Tickets are available on line at or at the circulation desk.

Sponsorship opportunities are available ranging from  $25 - $1000.  Contact Dawn Beviano at 908-298-3830 ext 17 for more information.
