Fun Fruits and Vegetable for Kids, Exploring the FOOD PYRAMID Story Time and Craft at the Linden Library on Thursday, June 30th, at 10:30 am. This program is for children ages 3 to 7.
Summertime is the time for growing fruits and vegetables in your garden. It is also the time to really see how a plant grows little by little or sometimes by leaps and bounds. The theme of the Summer Reading Program nationwide this year is “On Your Mark, Get Set and Read.” Not only does it focus on reading as an activity but exercise and healthy eating as well. In this first of our summer reading club programs we will be reading a book about healthy vegetables and fruits that we all love to eat and which are good for us too. We will discuss the food pyramid and do some fun coloring and drawing of the Food Pyramid. So come and celebrate one of the best parts of summer ….HEALTHY EATING. Hope to see you there.
The Linden Library is located at 31 E. Henry Street. To sign up for the program, please visit the circulation desk or call 908-298-3830.
